Stage Performances Encouraging Competitive and/or Cooperative Relationships among Viewers on the Live Experience in an EEG Mixed Reality Live

(in English) In recent years, new forms of viewing using VR and MR is gaining attention. In previous studies, systems that generate and share visual effects based on electroencephalography signals during live viewing within VR/MR spaces. It was reported that relational structures, such as cooperative and competitive relationships among viewers, influence quality of viewers' experiences and concentration levels in an experience. In actual live environments, such relationships among viewers caused by performers' reactions and staging are observed. In this study, we proposed and developed a new live system with introducing staging that constructs cooperative and competitive relational structures among viewers. Experimental results confirmed that visual effects were generated as designed and provided a synchronized experience across devices.
