This report investigates the transmission loss and reflection attenuation of suspension water turbidity with plastic powder using an MT connector-type Fabry-Perot optical sensor, and examines the feasibility of detecting microplastics in water using this sensor. Experimental results showed that transmission loss measurements increased with higher concentrations. Conversely, reflection attenuation measurements exhibited reduced peak and trough values in the waveform, likely due to light resonance. These findings suggest the potential for detecting microplastics using this sensor. |
