In non-contact heart rate estimation, deep learning methods offer high accuracy but face challenges in computational cost and adaptability. This paper proposes a computationally efficient heart rate estimation method using MIMO FMCW (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar, combining feature extraction via VMD (Variational Mode Decomposition) with a lightweight MLP (Multilayer Perceptron). Experimental results confirm that the MAE (Mean Absolute Error) is 3.19 BPM at 1 m and 2.84 BPM at 2 m. This maintains accuracy comparable to deep learning methods while reducing adaptation time for new users to approximately one-fifth, demonstrating its effectiveness for real-time system implementation. |
