Phase retrieval is a technique for reconstructing phase information from the amplitude of the Fourier coefficients. In recent years, phase retrieval in the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) domain has gained attention due to applications such as X-ray ptychographic and acoustic signal processing. In this study, we compare the performance of one-dimensional STFT phase retrieval algorithms by focusing on a special class of windows, called tight windows. Extensive numerical experiments show that tight windows can averagely improve the estimation accuracy from noisy observations compared to non-tight windows. |
