This study validates the performance of a low-latency correction method for the GSMaP Near-Real-Time (NRT) product using high-accuracy rain gauges in Japan. Numerical experiments show that our method achieves higher accuracy than the 3-day delayed GSMaP Gauge product. The RMSE is reduced by 65% from GSMaP NRT and 30% from GSMaP Gauge, and the correlation coefficient is increased by 0.11 from GSMaP NRT and 0.02 from GSMaP Gauge, with only 4-hour delay. |
