(in English) The author’s interests in electronics and radio technologies began with “My Kit:” a kind of breadboard as study materials which had been sold by Gakken Inc.; I asked my parents to buy it for me when I was nine in my elementary school days. After enjoying BCL and CB: short wave broadcast listening and citizen band radio communications on 27MHz band, I got my amateur radio operator license and began ham radio when I was twelve in 1975. In this talk, I’m to introduce my radio engineering carrier with my memory in those days and to show my personal opinions about radio communication systems for the future. Additionally, I’ll introduce my recent ham radio activities: hand-made antennas, Morse code in HF/short wave bands, and the new digital modes such as FT8: a low bit rate 8-FSK mode using LDPC code.
