Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The Lumped Parameter Method (LPM) and the Finite Element Method (FEM) are widely used for analyzing small acoustic devices. Although FEM offers high accuracy for complex geometries, it often requires substantial computational resources. In contrast, LPM enables efficient computation but suffers from limited accuracy, as theoretically derived parameters frequently result in frequency responses that deviate from experimental observations. To address this issue, adaptive algorithms for estimating equivalent circuit parameters have been proposed. This study investigates optimization methods to achieve high-precision parameter estimation for equivalent circuits of balanced armature (BA) type transducers, a class of small acoustic transducers. Two optimization approaches are examined: one that converts an analog-domain transfer function into a digital transfer function via bilinear transformation and optimizes the resulting coefficients in the frequency domain, and
another that leverages impedance characteristics and mechanical system theory for parameter optimization. The objective is to improve consistency with measured data while preserving the computational efficiency of LPM. Simulation results demonstrate significant accuracy improvements in terms of the normalized mean square error (NMSE): the conventional method yields an NMSE of 0.4024, whereas the proposed method achieves 0.007626 and the alternative method achieves 0.08786.
