Correlation Range Optimization for Partial Correlation Detection in Asynchronous NOMA
Tomonari Kurayama, Teruyuki Miyajima (Ibaraki Univ.) RCS2025-271
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this article, we propose a method to enhance the downlink performance of asynchronous NOMA (ANOMA: Asynchronous Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access).
The proposed method optimizes the correlation range of the correlation detector to fully exploit the temporal offset between the desired signal and the inter-user interference introduced by asynchronous transmission.
This partial-correlation detection technique suppresses interference components while enhancing the desired signal components, thereby improving the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio for users that do not employ successive interference cancellation.
Furthermore, to maximize the sum rate, we propose an alternating optimization algorithm that jointly optimizes the correlation range and power allocation.
Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a higher sum rate compared with conventional ANOMA.
