This paper reports on an inter-carrier interference (ICI) cancellation function that effectively suppresses multiple Doppler interference in terrestrial digital broadcasting. It is a novel approach based on pipeline-processable discrete Fourier transforms (DFTs), eliminating the need for large-scale matrix computations. The fundamental operating principles and design examples are presented, followed by the performance results obtained from a prototype. |
