(in English) Medical Report Generation (MRG) has rapidly evolved from early image captioning approaches to clinically grounded multimodal reasoning systems. Recent advances in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have enabled structured concept alignment, retrieval-enhanced generation, 3D volumetric modeling, and explicit factual and temporal reasoning. These developments reflect a paradigm shift from optimizing textual fluency toward ensuring clinical correctness, interpretability, and longitudinal consistency. This paper reviews recent research trends presented at MICCAI 2025 and discusses how emerging architectures are reshaping automated medical reporting toward safe and practical clinical deployment.
