We address the issue of message length constraints in DiffuseTrace, a watermarking technique based on latent diffusion models. We propose a new encoding method utilizing lightweight random networks. While the original DiffuseTrace required reconstructing the VAE whenever the message length was changed, our proposed method introduces random networks for message encoding and decoding, enabling the handling of variable-length messages without VAE reconstructing. In this study, we simplify the random network structure from two layers to one and examine the impact of this lightweight design on performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the single-layer model achieves higher extraction accuracy (Acc = 0.993) than the previous two-layer model for message lengths $N leq 1024$. This shows that network simplification can improve accuracy. Furthermore, evaluations using NIQE, PIQE, and CLIP scores confirm that the generated images maintain high perceptual quality and semantic consistency with the prompt even after watermark embedding. The method also exhibits robust resistance against various image attacks. These results indicate that the proposed lightweight model achieves high-precision, flexible watermarking at a low computational cost. |
