(in English) In the process of academic paper writing, repeated refinement while checking for completeness and clarity of descriptions is essential for accurately conveying research contents. However, inexperienced authors have limitations in sufficiently refining their papers independently. Therefore, feedback from experts provides valuable insights in academic paper refinement. However, inexperienced authors often fail to fully grasp the expert’s correction intents. Such insufficient shared understanding regarding the intents of paper correction and revision work hinders the refinement process. In this research, we have been aiming at developing a system that automatically estimates the correction intent of experts and the revision intent of inexperienced authors, and supports inexperienced authors in understanding work intent by visually presenting the differences between them. In this paper, we mainly describe methods for extracting differences between experts’ correction intent and inexperienced authors’ revision intent on the basis of analyzing gaze movements during the task. We also outline the refinement support along with the features of our prototype.
