During large-scale disasters, a surge in voice call requests causes severe congestion in the communication infrastructure. Under such conditions, increasing connected low-priority calls, such as safety confirmations, is a critical issue. We propose an call admission control method that adjusts the packetization interval of the voice packet. This increases low-priority connections while protecting high-priority calls. Verifying this requires a mathematical model, but balancing complexity and accuracy is hard. a conventional mathematical model was designed to reduce the number of states, but this model lacked the accuracy needed to find the optimal threshold. In this study, we improved the mathematical model to be accurate without increasing the number of states. This allows us to find the optimal threshold that maximizes the number of low-priority connections. |
