Introduction of QoS Guarantee in UAV Network Design

(in English) In constructing UAV networks, controlling Quality of Service (QoS) is essential for supporting expected communication environments and applications. Deploying multiple UAVs is also necessary to provide coverage for many ground devices.
This study formulates an optimization problem to determine UAV placement while guaranteeing bandwidth through constraints on simultaneous connections, and proposes a polynomial‑time approximation algorithm to solve it. Simulation results show that the algorithm significantly reduces the number of required UAVs compared with a simple baseline.
