Study on Maximum Likelihood Estimation of Varing Fading Channels at Base Station with Null Space Expansion in Multi-User MIMO

(in English) When a mobile terminal connected with MIMO moves in high speed, the channel capacity is degraded because the channel matirix deviates from the channels got at the newest reference symbol (RS) and inter-stream or inter-user interference increases in multiuser MIMO. To overcome this problem, Iwakuni, et al. proposed null-space extention method, which forms null space not only for the interference channel at the newest reference symbol but also for the previous interference channels. In this report, conditional probability density function of the deviated channel from the one at the newest RS is studied theoretically, where each element of the channel matrics is i.i.d. (independently and identically distributed) and the channels at the newest RS and the past RSs are known. Using this analysis, the maximum likelyhood (ML) estimate of the deviated channel is shown.
