(in English) In video production, IP-based video transport has become widespread, and uncompressed video transmission based on SMPTE ST 2110 is used in practical operations.
Meanwhile, video compositing such as wipes and text overlays is typically performed in the pixel domain after frame reconstruction, which incurs processing such as frame reconstruction, re-packetization, and buffering, and thus requires a certain amount of processing time.
This paper proposes a method that identifies the in-frame position of RTP packets carried over ST 2110-20 and replaces pixel values in the payload on a per-packet basis to perform video compositing without frame reconstruction, and evaluates the effectiveness of the proposed method from the viewpoint of low latency.
