Spectrum Efficiency Improvement by Adaptive Modulation and LED Lighting Allocation in LED Visible Light Wireless Communications by Spatially Parallel Signal Transmission with Multiple Users

(in English) This paper proposes the combined method in which both adaptive modulation for each photodetector and LED lighting allocation for equalized spectral efficiency among users are performed in multiple-user LED visible light wireless communications by spatially parallel signal transmission. Area spectral efficiency improvement with the proposed method is evaluated by computer simulation The evaluation results show that the proposed method can increase spectral efficiency by 1.2 times for 2 users and 1.1 times for 3 users even with shorter distance between users compared to that with adaptive modulation for each evaluation point and conventional LED lighting allocation.
