Applicability Evaluation of an Estimation Formula for Geotechnical Parameters Using the MLIT Data Platform

(in English) This study evaluates the accuracy of the Terzaghi & Peck compression index (Cc) formula using a large-scale dataset from the MLIT Data Platform. While traditionally considered effective for moderate compressibility, this analysis shows that the estimation shifts from overestimation to underestimation at approximately Cc = 0.4. Variations in error patterns were also observed depending on construction purposes. These findings provide a rational basis for selecting estimation methods and offer a practical framework for utilizing accumulated geotechnical data.
