(in English) This study quantitatively examined the effect of object transparency in VR space on weight perception. Specifically, we conducted an experiment where subjects lifted a bag equipped with a water filling mechanism in VR space. The weight was adjusted via water filling to achieve subjectively equal perceived weight between visually opaque and transparent conditions. The results quantitatively confirmed a statistically significant illusion effect when the bag frame was removed on a wooden floor, transparency made the held bag feel lighter.
