Information Processing Capacity (IPC) is a widely used measure for quantifying the computational capability of physical computing systems, including physical reservoir computing
However, it has been difficult to separate performance degradation caused by noise from limitations intrinsic to the system itself.
In this study, we propose a method to reconstruct the ideal IPC by statistically processing the covariance matrix, and demonstrate its effectiveness through numerical simulations.
The proposed approach provides a principled guideline for evaluating the fundamental performance limits of physical devices, where noise is inherently unavoidable. |
