Challenges and Prospects of Transparent Distributed Computing Infrastructure in ICN

(in English) Transparent distributed computing infrastructure is a vision that enables the use of computational resources distributed across a network as if they were a single computer.
This paper argues that the current inability to realize this vision stems from the level of abstraction provided by the network layer of the current Internet, and that Information-Centric Networking (ICN) can serve as a solution.
The abstraction of "accessing content" provided by ICN aligns with the abstraction that operating systems provide for a single computer, offering a foundation for transparent distributed computing environments.
We analyze OS functionalities and demonstrate the need for a "Distributed OS Interface" that provides transparent access, read/write/exec operations, and access control.
We then survey the current state of research in ICN and propose the construction of the Distributed OS Interface as a direction for future research.
