Proposal of Forwarding Waiting Time to Minimize Download Time Considering Retransmissions in CCN-based MANET

(in English) In recent years, much research has been conducted on CCN-based MANET, which apply the CCN architecture to Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET), as a study related to CCN. A problem in CCN-based MANET is that packet collisions occur when multiple wireless terminals simultaneously transmit content requests (i.e, Interest packets) and content responses (i.e, Data packets). Frequent packet collisions necessitate the retransmission of Interest packets, which can significantly degrade network performance. Therefore, this paper proposes a forwarding waiting time that minimizes the download time, considering
retransmissions in CCN-based MANET. Through evaluation experiments, we showed that the proposed scheme can reduce the content download time compared with previous studies.
