A detection Dementia symptom using metrics of waveform relationship for Pupil Light Reflex

(in English) A possibility of detecting level of dementia was examined using difference of waveform features in pupil light reflex (PLR) during constriction and restoration phases. The features were focused on cross-correlation, phase difference in 3 phases in constriction and two stages of restoration. Prediction performances for the participants with dementia were comparable with the previous studies, significant improvement was obtained when participant’s age category. The contribution of each feature was examined, and the findings corresponded with known physiological characteristics of PLRs.
