In recent years, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) techniques that utilize Wi‑Fi Channel State Information (CSI) have attracted growing attention. However, when communication‑based devices are used for sensing, it remains challenging to evaluate how hardware constraints--such as phase errors arising from asynchronous clocks and quantization noise--affect sensing accuracy. In this paper, we present a physical‑layer ISAC simulation method based on the IEEE 802.11 specifications through a Capon‑based human positioning approach that relies solely on CSI amplitude. We also evaluate the impact of quantization noise on positioning accuracy. Simulation results show that spatially distributing multiple transmitter–receiver pairs and combining their measurements effectively disperses and averages out quantization errors, enabling favorable positioning performance with a median error of less than 1 m even under severe quantization noise conditions. |
