Toward Knowledge-Based Support for Individual Creativity

(in English) Techniques for eliciting individual creativity are important for promoting the creation of high-quality outcomes and supporting the achievement of personal goals. Prior studies have suggested that creativity can be effectively stimulated by presenting knowledge that is moderately distant from a person’s area of expertise and relevant to their goals. However, there is currently no dataset that contains (i) profile information including an individual’s expertise and goals, (ii) supportive information to foster that individual’s creativity, and (iii) creative outputs produced by the individual after receiving the supportive information. This paper reports our ongoing investigation into methods for constructing a dataset comprising these three components and into how such a dataset can be utilized.
