The nonlinear effects of piezoelectric materials can be analysed by introducing higher-order elastic coefficients into the piezoelectric equations, and their values can be determined by curve fitting the admittance curve in which the nonlinear effects occur. In conventional admittance curves measured under constant voltage amplitude conditions, changes due to nonlinear effects are clearly visible only near the resonance frequency. However, under constant current amplitude conditions, the voltage becomes maximum at the anti-resonant frequency, and therefore the vibration velocity becomes also maximum. As a result, changes due to nonlinear effects appear not only at the resonance frequency but also around the anti-resonant frequency. In this study, we determined higher-order elastic coefficients using the resonance and anti-resonance peaks of admittance curves measured under constant current amplitude, and by comparing them, we confirmed that nonlinearities other than mechanical elasticity are sufficiently small, and that the piezoelectric nonlinear model is valid. |
