We have previously proposed a high-accuracy radio map generation method for real-time understanding
of wireless environments toward the realization of smart factories. In this method, multiple real-time spectrum mon
itors are time-synchronized to measure received power, and interpolation is applied to estimate the received power
at unmeasured locations, thereby sequentially generating a radio map. In this paper, we introduce a correlation
exponent into the inverse distance weighting method used for interpolation. Furthermore, the space is classified into
eight cases based on the obstruction relationships among the radio unit (RU), measurement points, and interpolation points, and optimal parameters are assigned to each case. Through this approach, we propose a method that achieves highly accurate interpolation while taking into account the effects of obstacles. In addition, simultaneous
optimization of multiple parameters reduces computation time and demonstrates applicability to real-time processing. As a result, the proposed method achieves a root mean square error (RMSE) of 2.85 dB, confirming its high interpolation accuracy |
