A proposal of a location-based MAC protocol for multi-hop wireless networks

(in English) In this paper, we propose a MAC protocol designed to improve throughput and ensure fair transmission opportunities in ad hoc wireless network where communication ranges overlap. In conventional CSMA/CA, the acquisition of transmission opportunities based on backoff leads to problems such as collisions and unfair transmission opportunities. To overcom, this method groups nodes based on their location and autonomously determines transmission timing based on the transmission status of neighbor nodes, thereby achieving round-robin communication. Simulation results using ns-3 confirm that our method can improve throughput while maintaining higher fairness compared to conventional methods.
