This study focuses on repairperson assignment and workload balancing in the selective maintenance problem and proposes optimization models that incorporate skill constraints. Conventional leveling models apply a single leveling criterion to all maintenance workers, making it difficult to adequately handle work constraints arising from differences in skills. To address this issue, this study first introduces skill constraints into an existing model, and further proposes a model that performs workload leveling for each skill group. Computational experiments demonstrate that the proposed model consistently obtains feasible solutions even under strict workload balancing constraints. These results indicate that the proposed approach is effective for practical maintenance planning considering heterogeneous skill levels. |
