Tightly Coupled Dipole Arrays (TCDAs) are widely used in wideband phased arrays for communication and multifunction radar systems because of their broad bandwidth. However, achieving low reflection across a desired frequency band typically requires an array aperture on the order of the free-space wavelength at the band’s lower edge. In this paper, we propose a structure that improves low‑frequency reflection for arrays with small apertures. The feasibility of the proposed design is demonstrated by numerical simulations and experimental measurements. |
