(in English) This paper investigates multiple-deletion error-correcting codes over non-binary alphabets. Recently, a mapping technique known as pointer mapping was proposed, which transforms errors based on the Levenshtein distance in multiplicity free sequences into errors based on the Hamming distance. This mapping enables the construction of deletion-correcting codes by applying codes defined in the Hamming metric space.
In this study, we propose a new class of deletion-correcting codes, termed pointer codes, by leveraging this mapping. The proposed method achieves a redundancy upper bound of $(8t log_p n) +1$, which closely approaches the theoretical lower bound for redundancy by Levenshtein. Furthermore, we describe a decoding algorithm that reduces the deletion error correction process to well-established methods such as Euclidean decoding and Peterson algorithm.
