A Location Information System for Enhancing Accessibility to Green Slow Mobility

(in English) This study proposes a low-cost location information system for Green Slow Mobility to promote social participation among the elderly. To resolve the "unclear vehicle location" issue identified through field research, we developed three applications using smartphones as in-vehicle terminals. Evaluation experiments involving 36 users revealed that all participants recognized an improvement in the ease of boarding, and 92% showed increased motivation to use the service. This paper reports the psychological effects of location visualization and discusses future challenges, including support for users unfamiliar with smartphones and information-sharing methods during free-roaming operations.
