This study investigates a non-contact method for visualizing changes in skin blood flow induced by taste stimuli, aiming to measure dynamic physiological responses to external stimuli in humans. Based on an optical model of human skin, we propose a biological transmittance-difference method that utilizes differences in the penetration characteristics of RGB components obtained from a general-purpose camera. To suppress the influence of external disturbance factors, such as illumination conditions and camera characteristics, a compensation method is introduced, and blood-flow variation components are extracted using wavelength-difference processing between red and green channels. As a fundamental investigation, spatial changes in facial skin blood flow in response to salty taste stimulation are evaluated, demonstrating region-specific blood flow responses. |
