In illumination-light communications, variable N-parallel code shift keying (VN-CodeSK) system using the extended threshold secret sharing scheme (TSS) has been proposed.
This system takes into account multiple illumination regions formed by overlapping illumination from multiple lighting devices, and enables the reception of different information in regions with different numbers of overlapping illumination.
This paper focuses on the VN-CodeSK system using extend TSS scheme, and shows the effect of changing the LED's half-power angle thereby modifying the illumination area, especially the extent of overlap on transmission performance.
Moreover, it is evaluated the average transmission rate (ATR) performance over entire the room.
As a result, it is shown that ATR performance is improved as increasing the LED's half-power angle. |
