Color Shift Keying with Mixed Color Switching Patterns in RGB-LED Communication

(in English) In visible light communication, Color Shift Keying (ColorSK) has been standardized as a modulation scheme that enables color tuning control.
This paper proposes a mixed-color switching transmission method for the ColorSK system using RGB-LEDs,
which includes three patterns where only one of the R, G, B colors is emitted, and three patterns where two of these colors are emitted simultaneously.
The proposed method transmits information by arranging these six emission patterns in a tine series while maintaining the target spatial color.
In this paper, the symbol error rate characteristics and information transmission efficiency characteristics have been evaluated.
As a result, it was shown that the proposed method can achieve 1.7 times the information transmission efficiency compared to the conventional method.
