(in English) This report covers optical access network technologies presented at OFC 2026, Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition held in Los Angeles, USA, in March. In recent years, the focus of this conference has been on optical transceiver technologies for ‘generative AI’ within hyperscale data centers, therefore, there were also many presentations in the optical access research field utilizing technologies such as Generative AI and ML (Machine Learning). Furthermore, we will report on trends related to VHSP (Very-High-Speed Passive Optical Network) and research in optical fiber sensing technology, for which the number of reports has been on the rise in recent years.
