(in English) We propose a minimal-hardware single-WSS ROADM using joint switching for colorless, directionless, and partially contention-less operation, and demonstrate contention-less optical 1+1 ring protection using a multi-input-port 4×4 WSS configured from a commercial 1×9 WSS.
