Impact of Amplified Spontaneous Emission Noise on Optical Multi-Eigenvalue Modulated Signal

(in English) The eigenvalue of the eigenvalue equation associated to the nonlinear Schr$ddot{text{o}}$dinger equation is invariant regardless of the propagation distance. Therefore the eigenvalue is an ideal information carrier that is not affected by the dispersion and the nonlinearity of optical fiber. However, the eigenvalue is affected by noise added to the signal. In this paper, we theoretically analyze the impact of amplified spontaneous emission noise, which accumulates along the transmission line, on eigenvalues for multilevel signals using multiple eigenvalues. Furthermore, we confirmed the validity of our analysis by showing that the results were consistent with those of numerical simulations.
