(in English) Low-Power Wide-Area (LPWA) communication has attracted attention as a key technology for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Previous studies have demonstrated that QUIC, a modern transport protocol, can operate over Private LoRa, which is one of the LPWA technologies. However, because LoRa employs half-duplex communication, QUIC data packets and ACK packets may contend with each other on the wireless link, leading to retransmissions and increased communication time. In this study, we propose a LoRa frame transmission timing control method on a per-IP-packet basis in IP2LoRa to suppress such contention on the wireless link. The proposed method is implemented and evaluated through experiments using actual devices.
