Study on Grouping Scheme Allowing Overlapping Membership in Terminal Cooperative MIMO

(in English) This report proposes a user grouping scheme supporting multi-group membership for terminal cooperative multiple-input multiple-output reception.
In the conventional scheme, where each terminal is restricted to be a member of a single group only, there is a problem that a terminal with a good communication link can participate in only one group, preventing full utilization of its benefits.
Therefore, in the proposed scheme, terminals are distinguished using channel responses in the Sub-6 band and are allowed to belong to multiple groups.
Evaluation results show that the proposed scheme improves throughput by up to 0.06 bps/Hz/user compared with the conventional one while suppressing fairness degradation to some extent.
