On the Complex Extension of Locally Structured Unitary Networks

(in English) This report proposes an extension of locally structured unitary networks (LSUN) to complex signals.
With advances in measurement technology, it has become possible to acquire high-dimensional data. Furthermore, some high-dimensional data is represented by complex numbers.
LSUN proposed by Yasas et al. possesses locality, shift-variability, and overlap, and can capture tangent spaces of the manifold in which the data is embedded while taking into account the continuity, thereby enabling effective dimensionality reduction.
However, the existing LSUN is not designed to handle complex signals.
Therefore, in this study, toward the design of a complex LSUN ($mathbb{C}$LSUN), we propose and implement a 1-D $mathbb{C}$LSUN corresponding to one-dimensional data, and demonstrate its effectiveness through comparison with the existing method.
