(in English) Presentations using slides are an important means of communicating the results of intellectual activities, such as academic research and planning in companies, and there is a growing need to develop more effective methods for cultivating the skills of refining such presentations. For presenters to refine their slides, it is essential to thoroughly identify problematic areas but this poses a challenge for those with little experience. Identifying such problem areas often relies on advice from experienced professionals, but there are limitations due to time constraints and other factors. This research aims to develop a mechanism for supporting presentation refinement that utilizes audience reactions during rehearsals. In this paper, we first present an overview of feedback regarding the gap between the presenter’s emphasis and the audience attention. We then describe the extraction of the presenter’s emphasis on the basis of analyzing the structural features of the slides and the oral explanation; the estimation of audience attention on the basis of analyzing eye movements and physical reactions during the presentation; and the extraction of the gap between the two. Finally, we report on an experiment in which the developed support system was applied to actual presentations and discuss the characteristics of the proposed methods based on the results.
