(in English) Recent advances in image generation and editing technologies have made it easier to create partially manipulated images, making it increasingly important to verify image reliability by localizing manipulated regions.
Although diffusion-model-based methods have been proposed for estimating manipulated regions in image space, they require a large processing time.
In this study, we propose a manipulation localization method that reduces processing time by focusing on reconstruction differences in latent space.
Experimental results show that the proposed method reduces processing time compared with an image-space-based method and localizes manipulated regions with fewer missed detections.
