(in English) PRINCE is a lightweight block cipher for low-latency hardware implementation. In differential cryptanalysis of PRINCE, it is important to evaluate differential clustering effects, where multiple differential characteristics corresponding to the same input-output difference are accumulated. However, existing evaluations that treat the entire target-round function as a single SAT instance require more SAT calls and execution time as the enumeration range expands. This paper proposes a divided clustering method for the 8-round partial function of PRINCEcore. The proposed method divides the function into the first 4 rounds and the last 4 rounds, evaluates the clustering effects of each partial function, and connects the results through intermediate differences. Using the evaluation results for the two partial functions, the proposed method computes the differential probability for the entire 8-round function under a fixed input-output difference. A comparison with existing methods clarifies the effectiveness and remaining issues of the divided differential clustering evaluation.
