(in English) Tamper resistant software has been researched as software that is resistant to analysis and attacks, but there is room for improvement in its resistance to program execution analysis, also known as dynamic analysis. As a countermeasure against program execution analysis, a mechanism has been proposed in which tamper resistant software authenticates its execution environment, and the application of TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) Attestation to execution environment authentication is being considered.
This manuscript focuses on TEEs that cover virtual machines as the target of consideration regarding execution environment authentication, and investigates their implementation and relationship with Attestation. In particular, we examine the pecifications and implementation of vTPM in TEEs that cover virtual machines of confidential computing, and consider the issues when applying TEE Attestation to improve the analysis resistance of tamper resistant software.
