As a measure against electromagnetic interference, this study developed an ultra-lightweight electromagnetic wave-absorbing material by applying an insulating coating to carbon nanotubes (CNTs). By adjusting the amount of insulating coating applied, the electrical conductivity can be independently controlled, making it possible to experimentally optimize impedance matching conditions in conjunction with the dielectric constant resulting from the CNT content. As a result, for an ultra-lightweight sample with a bulk density of 10 mg/cm³, absorption performance of 12 dB at 3.1 GHz for a 5-mm-thick sample and 10.7 dB at 1.4 GHz for a 10-mm-thick sample was confirmed. |
