Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This study considers spectrum sharing for downlink service links between a primary geostationary Earth orbit (GEO) satellite system and a secondary low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite system. In GEO–LEO coexistence environments, collinear interference occurs when the GEO satellite, GEO user, and LEO satellite are located nearly on the same line, forcing the LEO system to reduce its transmit power to protect the GEO user (GU), which degrades the SINR performance of the LEO user (LU). To address this issue, we apply a superposition transmission scheme in which the LEO satellite simultaneously transmits a signal intended for the GU and its own signal for the LU over the same frequency while the GEO transmission is active. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme under collinear interference conditions is evaluated. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme improves the reception quality of the LU while maintaining the reception quality of the GU.
