(in English) This talk introduces recent power electronics research and laboratory activities at National Institute of Technology, Yonago College, where two faculty members and 20 students collaborate with academic societies. We highlight our pedagogical approaches for student development from assignment to graduation. Furthermore, we discuss the multi-level configuration of active power filters, focusing on a method for active power relief, reactive power, and harmonic compensation under the 90-degree phase-shifted two-phase AC conditions of electric railways. Finally, this talk presents a machine learning-based fault detection technique for photovoltaic systems, verifying its effectiveness under the low-solar-radiation conditions of the Sanin area and reporting its current progress.
