Evaluation of cycle performance of conductive thread artificial muscles

(in English) We report on the cycle performance during prolonged operation of an artificial muscle formed by inserting a twist in a silver-plated nylon conductive thread into an auto-coiling structure. It has been found that the muscle operates for 10,000 cycles without undergoing noticeable irreversible elongation under an appropriate operating load.
