Fabrication Technology of TiO₂ Films for Fiber-Shaped Perovskite Solar Cells

(in English) In this study, toward the fabrication of fiber-shaped perovskite solar cells, surface smoothing of a titanium wire serving as the central electrode was investigated, and titanium dioxide (TiO₂) was examined as an electron transport layer. Using Ethaline as the electrolyte for electropolishing, a smooth surface was obtained under electropolishing conditions of an applied voltage of 14 V and a polishing time of 40 min. Subsequently, heat treatment was performed at 500 °C, and the formation of a
dense TiO₂ film on the titanium wire surface was confirmed. Furthermore, toward the formation of a mesoporous TiO₂ layer, film deposition on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrates was carried out by the air-spray method, because surface evaluation and film-thickness measurement are difficult on cylindrical substrates. The effects of various parameters, such as flow rate and substrate temperature, on film formation were investigated, and improvements in film continuity and uniformity were examined.
